Farmers Market: Holiday Gift Market/ Empty Bowls Fundraiser

The 8th annual "Empty Bowls" event is a grassroots effort to raise money for our local Grand Prairie Food and Clothing Coop to help feed families who are in need in Grand Prairie. Grand Prairie ISD is proud to partner with the City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Department for this event that helps fight hunger through the creation and sale of hand-made pottery bowls by the very talented GPISD art students and faculty. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to our local Grand Prairie Food and Clothing Co-op. For every one who spends (or donates) at least $10 to the Empty Bowls project, you will receive a ticket for a free bowl of soup from the Texas Chef Food Service booth.

The Grand Prairie Farmers Market is open each Saturday through December 15 (closed Thanksgiving weekend). The market features a great variety of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, artisan crafts and lots of other great things.
