Grand Prairie Live! Featuring Tejano
November 17-20

Join us for four days of live Tejano music all over the city! This four day event kicks off on November 17 with Music on Main in downtown Grand Prairie. Friday, November 18 is the headline show with Intocable at Texas Trust CU Theatre. Find live music in not one, but three different places all downtown on Saturday, November 19 starting with Farmers Market and ending with Firehouse Gastro Park and Uptown Theater. Rounding out the last of the four day event is Traders Village on Sunday, November 20.

Grand Prairie is a Music-Friendly City!

On September 11, 2021, the Texas Music Office within the Office of Governor Abbott certified Grand Prairie as a Texas Music Friendly Community.  There are less than 30 other Texas cities to receive this designation. 

The Texas Music Office program seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities.  Participation in this program provides the City of Grand Prairie a network for fostering music industry development and sends a clear message to industry professionals that certified communities are serious about attracting and developing music industry growth.

 “We are delighted to receive this official designation from the state; however Grand Prairie is no stranger to providing a stage for local talent and big names to flourish.  This designation will help foster talent across our grand city to perform at venues such as Uptown Theater, Texas Trust CU Theatre, The Epic Theater, Lone Star Park, Firehouse Gastro Park, The Blue Sunshine Patio & Bar floating restaurant and our signature event, Main Street Fest.  In addition, we are home to the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy and the Grand Prairie Arts Council which promote local talents.
